Improve your Resilience.

Here are a few small steps to improve your resilience and quality of life today:

  1. If you work from home, give yourself a work-only space for work, so you can go to work and leave work there-by establishing boundaries.

  2. Create a work schedule. Keep it – don’t check emails or revisit work outside of work hours.

  3. Intentionally plan 20 minutes after your workday to rest and refuel before you tackle your evening routine.

  4. Look for social opportunities even if they’re not perfect. Text a neighbor to go for a walk. Share an evening cocktail virtually with a friend. its not about perfect. Small Steps.

  5. Carve out alone time: lay in bed even if you don’t sleep, sit, or retreat to a quiet spot to read. No guilt, this is YOUR life. YOUR time.

  6. Turn off your technology, phone, emails and social media… Pick up a hobby; read or journal; garden, dance – and have fun starting something….

  7. Go to bed at a reasonable time. Sleep. You need a minimum of seven hours of sleep per night. Shift bedtime by 10 minutes.

  8. Go outside breathe in fresh air and natural daylight. Sit, or walk. You’ll feel much better, what do you have to lose? And even 15 minutes will bring up your spirits and give you much needed exercise. Research proves it.

  9. Waiting on the day you have the energy to make a small change is no longer enough. It is your life, your choice, your responsibility and your consequences. This is how you build your resilience, here, today.

Today is life, the same life of tomorrow and yesterday. The choices you make today support your life and give you the energy you need to face tomorrow, one day at a time.
